Better than the Battle of the Bulge!

Shhhh! I'm taping "Battle of the Network Reality Stars" tonight (Wed.) on Bravo, but don't tell anyone.

Though the original "Battle of the Network Stars" was never as good as Laff-Olympics, (I was always a big fan of Captain Caveman)... there is something surreal and nostalgic about this show and also cringeworthy.

But I was disturbed to learn that Omarosa is not competing, but will only be a referee.

Also, as one of the the contestants is Duncan Nutter, from Bravo's Show Bix Mom & Dads, I don't think anyone will mistake him for Gabe Kaplan or Hal Linden.

In other news, if you'd like to watch me and Shoe play a round of "Don't Break The Ice", show up to our apartments at around 8 PM. It will be riveting.

The one, the only Tony Bennett!

The one and only Tony Bennett!  This legend has been famous for fifty years! That's about 10,000 times longer than anyone on the cover of Teen People.

I gotta tell ya, Tony told us the story that Bob Hope gave him his moniker. He would have been known as "Joe Barre", which is taken from a town in Italy near where he grew up.

I am happy to report that an amazing writer, (and dear friend), Alix Strauss, is going to have her novel, "The Joy of Funerals," be made into a movie directed by the one and only Stockard Channing. 

How cool is that?

Help me beat Euthenasia

In another "win" for Icerocket, you can do graphs to chart how terms, (or you) compare to other "trends."

In this case, I am fighting for my life against "Euthenasia" and "Sperm Whales". Please start posting about me so that I can wipe out Euthenasia.

As you can see from the graph below, I am making headway against Euthenasia, but Sperm Whales overwhelmed me today.

Suzanne Whang, currently the host of House Hunters, the #1 rated show on HGTV (Home & Garden Television Network) and winner of the First Annual ANDY KAUFMAN AWARD at the New York Comedy Festival in 2004, is performing at Lake Tahoe's Improv at Harveys, now through August 14th.

Suzzane is hysterically funny and she's paying me three dollars to shill for her.

Get my wife off my back

My wife thinks that with my newfound "fame" I can pull strings. But to be honest, I can't even get an extra donut in a baker's dozen.

If anyone, in the entire universe, has any connections to "Dallas" or "Knots Landing",
she is dying to attend any event in celebration of the "Knots Landing Reunion" Special airing this Fall on CBS. She stills holds it against me that despite my high-level connections from my days on the Game Show Network, I could not get her into last years' "Dallas Reunion" party.

Besides my eternal gratitude, there's an extra $20 in it for the person with the golden connections.

Please help me! My marriage depends on it!

'Mo Emo (straight from Downtown Downer's Grove)

As I posted before, Emo Philips is in town, LA that is!

This is a must see event that will leave you dying with laughter as you hear Emo's one-of-a-kind surreal comedy that only Emo can provide. Plus, after the show, you can hang out and get an indivdualized authographed joke from Emo himself.

As an extra special bonus, Emo told the (much funnier) joke that was cut out of The Aristocrats.

The run has been extended to the end of September. Every Monday night for the amzingly low price of $10 (but I recommend you order your tickets online becuase tonight, like every night, is sold out). You can spend your hard earned money on crack, but this memory will last longer. And you won't go to jail. Hypothetically.
