Either take this as a sign of the apocalypse or that the "back door" concept of Situation: Comedy of bringing pilots to fruition works, NBC is seeking to fast-track at least one spec script to a pilot order for midseason consideration. Submissions deadline is Sept. 15.
Look, I don't know how to get NBC to actually read your script -- and my inclination is that this "fast-track" is for produced writers only -- but this idea does come from the mind of Kevin Reilly... who I liked to remind people said to Shoe and I about "Sperm Donor"...
"These guys tell me that the script is funny."
